Lawn mower for steep hills

Looking for some lawnmower advice. The grass in my front yard is on a steep, 45 degree hill. It's steep and slippery, so I wear golf shoes, which helps with slipping. I mow side to side from the top.

I inherited a 18" corded electric push-mower, and have been using that method for about a year. I'm always wrangling the cord, which is very annoying. It's lightweight and a breeze to maneuver. My neighbor finds this setup very amusing, but he always brings me a beer afterwards.

I inherited another mower today, a ten year old (or so) 6.75hp, 22" front wheel drive Craftsman. Assuming this mower runs well, will it be a better option than the electric? Would it be powerful enough to drive up the steep hill? Overall, would this be a better option than my electric for this job? I'm a bit concerned about maneuvering the extra weight, especially when I have to turn and either have the weight of the mower above or below me. Thoughts?

Either way, the neighbor will probably still bring me beer, so I've got that going for me.
