I just bought a new house, what would be some things to increase equity and living comfort?

I bought a new split level house with a full basement, 3 bed, 2 bath all upstairs an hour north of the twin cities mn. Central air, electric water heater, fridge with water lines, no garbage disposal, no water softener, no deck, I plan to do landscaping (rocks, plants. former landscaper). What other things do you recommend doing? Thank you!
