What is the recommended approach to hang items (curtain poles, mirrors, pictures, heavy items etc) in the following wall set up:
Wall comprised of: 1 Plaster board: 1 layer, about 1cm thick. 2 Air. About 1cm of nothing 3 Concrete block
I used a standard masonry bit to drill two horizonally level holes and on the second side I noticed the bit slide slightly when I hit the concrete. I assumed I hit a small pebble in the block. Now my mirror is sitting off level. I used a hammer drill and a almost unused 8mm masonry drill bit.
I used a standard wall plug, I think it was a 8mm plug. There is no issue with the strength of being able to handle the mirror's weight, although I'm not sure a plasterboard only fixing would be capable of handling it.
Also, is there any remedy to level up my mirror? (I know drilling more holes is an option, but is there a method to avoid pebbles or is it just hope for the best?)
Thanks!
