This is the table top. It's oak, and it's a leftover from making the kitchen.
The table top is 150cm x 62cm x 38cm (60 inch x 24 inch x 15 inch).
The final desk is actually going to be placed right there. The table underneath is just a folding table we're using at the moment (since we just moved in). Our room is really bright, white on the walls, and some darker furniture (see the chairs) and darker oak dining table.
Any ideas what to do about it? Special kind of oil? Paint? Have it cut in a special way? Make holes in it? I have no idea, so anything's welcome.
Edit: Also if you have an idea for table legs. Right now we're just thinking of putting these IKEA ones on, until we find a better solution.
